Asia Web3, GO!, hosted by JDI One and Singapore Global Network (SGN), has successfully concluded on the 12th of September with an impressive turnout from over +1500 signups!
Held in Singapore, the event brought together Web3 thought leaders, as well as founders, investors, government representatives, developers, media organizations and of course, enthusiasts all gathered under one roof! Through impactful panel discussions and pitching sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into the latest trends and developments in Web3.

Opening Remarks and Welcome Speech by Mr. Frank Lee, Managing Director of JDI
“Asia Web3, GO!” officially started with a welcome speech by Mr. Frank Lee, Managing Director of JDI, setting the tone for an exciting day of insights and opportunities in the Web3 realm.
In his speech, Mr. Frank Lee highlighted the limitless transformative potential of Web3, its profound impact, and his hopes that the event would enable attendees to boldly explore the latest technologies and push the boundaries of innovation through collaborative efforts.
Pitching Session
More than 15+ startup founders, each driven by a passion for web3 innovation and a desire to make a lasting impact, took turns presenting their startups to an esteemed panel of judges.
During the pitching session, each startup took center stage and had five minutes to present their groundbreaking solutions. It was truly remarkable to witness such a diverse range of projects, from decentralized finance platforms to cutting-edge blockchain applications and disruptive Web3-based advancements.
The energy in the room was palpable as these innovative ideas, visions, and creativity continuously impressed our judges, heightening their anticipation for the next big breakthrough in Web3’s evolution.
By the end of the Pitching session, everyone in the room was certainly brimming with anticipation for the future of Web3!
Panel Discussions
Panel Discussion 1: Women In Web3
The very first panel featured Ms. Julia Chen, Co-founder of Soully and Singapore Ambassador of AllStarsWomen DAO, Ms. Shirley Feng – Web3 Program Manager of Brinc, Ms. Soh Wan Wei, CEO of AI:DA as panelists as well as Ms. Shumin Lin, Director, Dispute Resolution of Drew & Napier LLC as the moderator.
With extensive experience spearheading Web3 projects and communities, each panelist shared their perspective on the myriad opportunities and challenges women encounter in the Web3 space, be it struggles in fundraising or being treated equally. With so much to share yet so little time, the amazing panel certainly started us on an awesome note!
Panel Discussion 2: Web3 In Asia
The second panel: “Web3 In Asia”, moderated by Mr. Sebastian Zilliacus, Managing Director of EMURGO and a member of the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) Web3 Sub-committee, delved deeper into the Web3 landscape and why Asia stands out as THE place to GO for Web3 innovation.
With an amazing line-up of panelists from the Asian region sharing their respective experiences in the Web3 space, attendees were given insights into why investors, innovators, and institutions are bullish about Asia.
Panel Discussion 3: Winning In Web3
The last panel: “Winning in Web3” was moderated by Mr. Wolfgang Männel, Managing Partner of Blockchain Founders Capital (BFC). The panel, made up of investors and mentors of numerous start-ups (including a few unicorns), saw a packed room with Attendees eagerly waiting for the session to start!
With time running out, the panel came to a powerful ending with Mr. Wolfgang asking the panelists to share in twenty seconds each, their final words of advice. For those of you who missed it, here is a recap of the top 3 common themes that were shared amongst the four panelists:
