On 28 July, the highly anticipated “The Future of Artificial Intelligence” event, organized by JDI One, Singapore Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (SCCV), and Singapore Global Network (SGN) was successfully concluded.
The event took place at The Sentry in Ho Chi Minh City and welcomed more than 150 attendees, including C-level guests, investors, startups, corporates, industry leaders, and members from various chambers. All eagerly gathered to witness the cutting-edge AI advancements and collaborative opportunities that the event had to offer.

Event Highlight: Open Remarks
With an air of excitement, attendees took their seats and warmly welcomed Mr. Norman Lim, President of Singapore Chamber of Commerce Vietnam, as he stepped on stage to deliver his welcome speech.

Following that, the event hall buzzed with enthusiasm as Mr. Roy Kho greeted the eager attendees. Addressing an audience of over 150 people, he delivered the opening remarks that set the tone for an engaging and enlightening day.

Mr. Roy Kho firmly believes in the paramount importance of AI to businesses across all industries. He also recognizes the vast growth opportunities that arise from nurturing strong ties between Singapore and Vietnam, capitalizing on each other’s strengths, and collaboratively propelling the future forward in the realm of AI and beyond.

Event Highlight: Sharing Sessions & Panel Discussions
As the day progressed, the event’s focus shifted to engaging sharing sessions and thought-provoking panel discussions.
We had the privilege of hearing from Mr. Quan Nguyen, CTO of DearAiMii and Research Engineer at OpenAI, who enlightened us about the revolutionary impact of generative AI on various industries with its wide range of applications. In addition, he shed light on the array of challenges that come hand in hand with Generative AI, commenting that: “Those who can tame the wild beast will no doubt emerge as the victors”.

Taking the stage next was Dr. Kim Anh Nguyen, Chief Product Officer of VinBigData, who delved into the transformative application of AI and big data in driving comprehensive digital transformations for businesses. He emphasized that data is the lifeblood of AI, and AI is the catalyst to optimize Big data.

The audience then warmly welcomed Dr. Charles Cheung, Deputy Director of NVIDIA AI Technology Center for North Asia, to the stage as he presented the implementation of generative AI by enterprises, showcasing its profound influence on the industry. Dr. Charles also shared his vision of large language models (LLMs) evolving significantly over the next decade, empowering enterprises across different domains.

Mr. Triet Le, Senior Solution Architect of Amazon Vietnam, took the stage next to share about AI in cybersecurity. He highlighted the need to incorporate ethical considerations into AI development for a secure and trustworthy AI ecosystem. Additionally, he shared valuable insights on how responsible AI adoption can drive business growth.

The final sharing session called upon Mr. Jeremy Ang, Chief Strategy Advisor – Data/Machine Learning of BytePlus. He delved into Smart Retail Monetization with AI, focusing on the evolution of data platforms and the optimization of analytics through the power of AI to unlock boundless business opportunities.

After a short break, the event resumed with a panel discussion. Mr. Mark Shmulevich, Managing Partner of Aloniq, served as the moderator whilst our panelists discussed and answered questions from the attendees. The lively interaction fueled an atmosphere of excitement, as thought-provoking questions were answered, and new perspectives emerged.
