About Vietnam Immersion Programme: Deep Tech (VIP: Deep Tech)
VIP: Deep Tech is a 4-day mission in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, organized by SGTech, in partnership with Launch JDI to help deep tech companies from Singapore accelerate their entry into Vietnam, through business matching activities with local BFSI industry leaders.
The programme also features a 3-day exhibition and showcase at the Singapore Pavillon @ Vietnam Int’l Smart City Asia 2023, with more than 20,000 trade visitors. Attendees include large enterprises, government agencies, and international corporations.
Who Joined Our VIP: Deep Tech
Singapore companies at the forefront of innovation offering commercially viable deep tech solutions, featuring AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Cloud and Data. Their participation in the program was highly valuable in facilitating the exploration of business opportunities in Vietnam, which has also propelled the advancement of the country’s deep tech industry.
Business Matchings
Day 1 – Business Matching With HDBank
Our first day of VIP: Deep Tech kicked off with a visit to HDBank, where we had the privilege to meet with industry leaders. The session began with an exciting introduction to HDBank and their impressive achievements spanning over 30 years. Following this, we had the opportunity to engage in 1-to-1 business matching sessions, where we explored ways in which Singapore’s cutting-edge deep tech solutions could contribute to the bank’s future development.

Day 2 – Business Matchings With FPT-IS, Bao Viet Insurance, and HPT
On Day 2, the morning was dedicated to visiting FPT Information System (FPT-IS) where we met with key stakeholders. In the afternoon, we had engaging meetings with representatives from HPT and Bao Viet Insurance at the Vietnam Int’l Smart City Asia 2023. During these meetings, we had productive discussions and fruitful business matchings where our delegates presented cutting-edge solutions that can drive sustainable growth for all three companies.

Day 3 – Business Matching Trip to ZaloPay and Orient Commercial Bank (OCB)
During Day 3 of our trip, we had the opportunity to visit ZaloPay and Orient Commercial Bank (OCB) to meet with key personnel. At ZaloPay, we met with Mr. Yen Nguyen, Head of Risk Management. At OCB, we met with Ms. Le Thi Quynh Giang, Head of Digital Center of Excellence. The 1-to-1 business matching meetings were engaging, and our Singaporean delegates discussed potential collaboration opportunities with both organizations.

Day 4 – Business Matchings With PwC Vietnam
On the last day of our VIP: Deep Tech program, our delegates had an exclusive meeting with Mr. Le Thai Thuyen, the Cyber Security Manager at PwC Vietnam. Through the 1-to-1 business matching session, our Singapore delegates were able to share their expertise and insights while learning valuable knowledge and gaining experience from Mr. Le Thai Thuyen.

Exhibition At The Vietnam Int’l Smart City Asia 2023 (SCA 2023)
During Days 2 to 4 of the VIP: Deep Tech program, our delegates also participated in The Vietnam Int’l Smart City Asia 2023 (SCA 2023) with a Singapore Pavillon exhibition. Each delegate had their own booth to showcase and pitch their products to over 20,000 trade visitors, including local SMEs, large enterprises, government agencies, and international corporations.

Networking Night
The networking night was one of the highlights of the VIP: Deep Tech program, where our delegates, along with SGTech, Launch JDI, and local key stakeholders from Vietnamese enterprises, had the opportunity to meet and establish valuable connections in a private evening event. This event provided a conducive environment for people to network and create potential business opportunities with Vietnamese counterparts while enjoying food and drinks.
