Money Talks – Welcoming & Opening Remarks
The Money Talks kicked off with a welcome speech by Mr. Hussein Sulaiman, Investment Principal at JDI. He shared about the event’s vision, serving as the bridge for founders and investors, fostering a vibrant environment for networking opportunities and meaningful collaborations.

To achieve this goal and support the thriving startup community in Vietnam, Mr. Hussein Sulaiman also introduced Capital JDI, a specialized division of JDI that supports innovative startups across Asia through direct mentorship and providing access to JDI’s curated investor network.

Money Talks – Panel Discussion
The panel discussion titled ‘Capitalizing On Diversity: Navigating Investment Landscapes in Southeast Asia’ focused on guiding startups in understanding the current startup investment landscape, and developing effective fundraising strategies to secure the capital necessary for their venture’s journey and growth..

Moderated by Mr. Hussein Sulaiman, the discussion focused on Southeast Asia’s investment landscape with Ms. Phuong Tran shared her insights on the emerging trends and the challenges to fundraising.

They identified how Singapore’s strategic position serves as a financial innovation hub with networks of curated investors and highlighted why Vietnamese startups should leverage the unique opportunities in this region. Ms. Phuong Tran also shared her experiences on and off the field, which had taught her about venturing beyond borders for opportunities.
