ShopBack partners with leading e-commerce merchants to reward its users with cashback across a wide range of categories including general merchandise, travel bookings, fashion, health and beauty, groceries, and food delivery. To date, US$100m of cashback has been awarded to ShopBack users.

To maintain their position as the #1 cashback platform across the Asia Pacific, ShopBack ensures that they are delivering an unparalleled user experience by providing a near-instant order response and top-notch products.
This adds significant pressure to ShopBack’s Product Engineering team as they are constantly facing long roadmaps of software development projects. In other words, team expansion is a must for ShopBack to further their capabilities in optimizing the core platform system.
ShopBack made the decision to set up Tech Hubs in Vietnam and Taiwan in order to tap on local talent to support their Product Engineering team. These countries are also strategic to ShopBack as both are markets they operate in and have plans to scale further.
ShopBack felt that they could benefit from engaging an experienced service provider who has the required human resource connection and network in Vietnam to quickly set up their Tech Hub in Ho Chi Minh city and tap into the country’s tech talent pool to further their product development capabilities.
In short, the company wanted a trustworthy party experienced in both Singapore and Vietnam markets, which they found in Talent JDI. Being around the startup and SME landscape, Talent JDI has a reputation for being quick and responsive in helping firms set up offshoring in Vietnam.
Following the initial meeting, an ambitious plan with long-term goals was envisioned. Talent JDI provided recruiting support to ShopBack to build up their Tech Hub, and also gave consultation on HR policies and legal documents to keep the transition in favor of the firm’s momentum of development. Additionally, the payroll for the offshore team in Vietnam was also managed by Talent JDI so ShopBack could focus on their
core business.
